Reception Activities
If dancing isn’t your speed, these are some other activities that you can include in your reception day that will keep your guests entertained and engaged. If you are not including dancing in your reception, I suggest shortening your reception duration.
The Shoe Game
The Bride and Groom sit back to back and someone calls out a trait or question. The couple raises the shoe for whoever the prompt relates to. (ie: Who cooks better, Who said I Love You first?)
Find the Guest BINGO
Make a bingo card with characteristics of your guests. Have guests mingle to fill up their bingo card.
S’mores Bar
If your venue has a fire pit, provide all the makings for s’mores. Guests can gather at their leisure to craft their s’mores.
Lawn Games
Games like corn hole or ring toss are big crowd pleasers.
Photo Booth
A classic reception activity to help your guests get great photos of the night.
Non-Traditional Guest Book
Something like Jenga or writing well wishes to the happy couple will help fill your guests’ time.
Crossword Puzzle
Personalize a crossword puzzle and have your guests fill it out.
Mad Libs
Create a custom mad libs that relates to you as a couple.
Hire an Artist to Draw your Guests
Artists can be hired to illustrate personal drawings for each guest or couple.
