Recommended Signage
There are so many products and signs that you can add to your wedding day. You may also be asking yourself, what is actually necessary for me to have? My hope is that this can help clarify any questions you have around signage, but as always, be sure to reach out if you have any additional questions.
Essential to Have
Seating chart or escort cards to inform guests where to sit
Directional signage to help your guests find their way (If your venue locations are not immediately apparent, the venue often has these signs for your use.)
Bar signs to help speed up wait times at the bar
Table numbers to designate the tables (These go hand-in-hand with the seating chart)
Cards and gifts sign to designate the table appropriately so that the table doesn’t become a place for discard
Nice to Have
Welcome sign to welcome guests to your event and designate the correct door of entry
Guest book sign to direct your guests to sign the guest book
Favors and thank you to direct your guests to pick up a favor and thank them for coming
Timeline of your relationship to share your love story with your guests
Menu to help your guests understand the food options prior to the buffet or meal service (could also be individual paper at each table or place setting)
Recommend Against
These recommendations are from my experience. As always, please do what feels right for you.
Unplugged Ceremony - It makes a much larger impact if your officiant makes an announcement prior to the processional about stowing phones
Order of Events - These are cute, especially when you incorporate personal elements, but if anything runs behind schedule, it is apparent to your guests, which does not enhance the guest experience
